Deck The Wall

A CASETTE TAPE ART PROJECT

Born out of a passion for live music, The Sylvee is named in tribute to Sylvia Frank, matriarch of the Frank family. The Franks moved to Madison in 1964, the same year the cassette tape was introduced to the U.S. Inspired by this, we’re collaborating with our friends at Zebradog to build a mural of Sylvia inside the Sylvee, made entirely out of cassette tapes.

To make this beautiful project happen, what we need now is, well…..a whole bunch of cassette tapes! Specifically, pre-recorded artist album tapes (not blank or mixed tapes). Cassette tape cases not needed.

For every 10 cassette tapes you donate, you will be entered into a drawing for a 4-pack of tickets to a show of your choice at The Sylvee (yes, even those long sold-out ones)!  Additionally, FPC Live will donate 50 cents per cassette tape received to the UW Carbone Cancer Center in honor of Sylvia.
